She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray F. Patterson and Dorothy E. Patterson (Howe); her husband Clarence A. James, Sr.; her son Richard Samuel; her children-in-law, Douglas Campbell and Lauri James; her great grandchildren, George Heit V and Sierra Nihart; and her siblings, Ray F. Jr., Richard, Rodger Patterson and Penny Patterson.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Campbell of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Clarence A. Jr. (Darlene) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Rodger of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ray (Lynn), Sally Illig (James), Joseph (Stephanie), Michael (Rose), Gina Nihart (James), Marcelle Benbrahim (Bassem), Patrick (Annette) and Phillipsburg; her brother Joseph Patterson (Mary); and her sisters-in-law, Minta James of Ludington, Michigan, Shirley Bidwell (Lyle) of Ludington, Michigan and Nellie Todd. She is also survived by 61 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
