He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Adams and Ella Adams (Sheehan); and his siblings, Robert "Boobie", Elwood "Woody", Randall Adams and Irene "Peckie" Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo (Melley); his daughter Tammy Effinger (Jim); his grandsons, Dave Effinger (Lauren Bosley) and Scott Effinger (Ella Meese); and his great grandchild Lucas Effinger.
