He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin C. Besecker and Orpah Besecker (Bixler); and his siblings, Douglas Besecker and Judith Besecker. He is survived by: his wife Andrea Besecker (Houlihan); his children, Stephen Besecker of Cresco and Stephanie Stock (Michael Kropp) of West Falls; his stepchildren, William Luyk (Barbara), Bob Luyk (Sheri) and Christine Steel (John) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; his grandchildren, Elisya Hivley (Nick) of Memphis, Tennessee, Megan Stock of Cresco, Matthew Stock of Henryville, Hugh Steele, Jessica Steel and Kavion Steele of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and his great grandchildren, Arya Hivley, Savannah Hivley, McKenzie Stock, Kevin Luyk and Wyatt Luyk.
