He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Acre and Maude Shields Acre; his former wife Janice Falkner Acre; his son Allan Acre; and his siblings, Fred Acre and Marie Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Acre (Dawson); his sons, Gary Acre of Worthington and Scott Acre (Betty) of Rockville, Maryland; his stepchildren, Edward Dawson (Kathy) of Valencia, Roy Dawson (Luella) of Saxonburg, James Dawson (Margie) of Rimersburg, John Dawson (Michele) of Saxonburg, Elma Sutej (Thomas Sr.) of Clinton Township and Martha Bowser (Bob Browne Sr.) of Butler; his granddaughters, Valarie and Heather Acre; his stepgrandchildren, Thomas Jr., Michael, Daniel, George Sutej, Ralph, Jonathan, Jessica, Marissa Dawson, Viola Kathy Bruno and John J. C. Bowser; and his brothers, John Acre of Freeport and Ray Acre of Freeport. He is also survived by 2 great-granddaughters; 21 step-great-grandchildren.
