He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Cooper and Flossie Cooper (Waddle). He is survived by: his wife Elaine Cooper (Mistretta); his children, Patricia Card of Mahanoy City, Donna Luckenbill of Lehighton, Lisa Jannazzo of Lehighton, James Jannazzo of Lehighton, Johnnie J., Jr. (Kimberly Cooper) of Nesquehoning and Joseph Cooper of Philadelphia; and his siblings, Kathy, Dorothy, Frances, George and Edward.
