She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval E. Ritts and Myrtle V. Ritts (Beals); her husband Lester A. Hood; her sisters, Dorothy E. DeLong and Mary P. Ritts; her grandson Michael E. Peterson; her stepchildren, Beverly A. Brown and Donald L. Hood; and her stepgrandchildren, Shelley Hood and Ashli Hovis.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara J. Peterson (Edward) of Centerville and Arthur O. Hood of Kossuth; her grandson Gary R. Hood of Liverpool; her sister Ruth E. Ritts of Cranberry; her stepson Richard E. Hood of Franklin; and also, Donece, Cassi Toy and Nikki Hart of Clarion County. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to Hospice of Crawford County East 310 N. Monroe St. Titusville, PA 16354 or the Meadville Medical Center.
