It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John P. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Allen McVay and Daisy "Becky" (Pascorell); his grandson Amari McVay; his sister Marcy McVay Johnson; his brother-in-law Ralph Hunsberger; his uncles, Jim and Dick Pascorell; and his cousins, Marilyn Page and Gene McVay.
He is survived by: his children, Jenna McVay (Quintin) of Franklin, Jessey McVay (Elsa) of Oil City and Joel Shreffler of Cranberry; his grandchildren, Wink (Quintin Jr.), Quinna and Jenesee of Franklin; his siblings, Kate, Mary Hunsberger, Daniel McVay, Rockland and Becky Cozad (Rick) of Gastonia; and his close friends, Phil Cozad, Jim Whitehouse, Tom Mitchell and Dave Ziegler of Oil City. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews that were so very special to him, as well as his many cousins.
The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers; memorial donations be made to Hile Best Funeral Home to help defray the funeral expenses.
