It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Belle Heckathorn (Cranberry, Pennsylvania), born in Clintonville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 16, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Shaw and Esther Shaw (Gibson); her husband Willard C. Heckathorn; her son Alan Heckathorn; and her brothers, Lloyd, Alton, Billy and Dale Shaw.
She is survived by: her sons, Bob Heckathorn (Maggie) of Davidson, NC and Jim Heckathorn (Ruth) of Inman, SC; her granddaughters, Jessie Miller (Jake), Rebecca Mack (Kirby) and Christina Vance (Will); her great grandchildren, Mia Rose Heckathorn, Jude Miller, Lance Miller, Jesse Mack and Lily Vance; her great great grandchild Autumn Heckathorn; and her sisters, Erla McDermott (Chuck) of Southington, OH and Rhonda Cubbon (Art) of Oil City. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wesbury Benevolent Fund, as an extension of their gratitude to everyone at the Wesbury Retirement Community for the outstanding care she received over the years.
