She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Larry R. Brown; her children, Cecelia Maenza (Richard) of Wexford and David Brown (Meike Wiesenberg) of Saratoga Springs, NY; her grandchildren, Ethan, Benjamin, Alyssa, Shauna, Annika and Camilla; her brothers, Eugene Merritt, John Merritt (Felicia) and Steve Merritt (Jane) of Cary, NC.; her pet Andy Too; and her parents, Eugene Merritt and Rosa Merritt (Farrior). She was also cherished by Ten nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made in Sandy's name to Hiland Presbyterian Church.
