He was predeceased by: his father Meade F. Smith; his brother Wayne Smith; and his brother-in-law Chuck McAllister. He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Smith (Leahy); his children, Cindy Hindle (Rob), Cheryl Kahn (Randy), Meade Smith, Chris Williams (Dan), Cathy Vollmer (Rob), Matthew Smith (Jen) and Marty Smith (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Caitlin Routten (Chase), Justin Hindle, Judy Kahn, Ray Kahn, Aaron Smith (Christie), Danny Williams, Lauren Williams, Macrina Vollmer, Jackson Vollmer, Jeffrey Smith, Ryan Smith, Mason Smith, Bridget Smith, Abbey Smith and Ben Smith; his great grandchild Harley Smith; his sisters, Carole McAllister, Beverly Smith, Patricia Gail Smith and Deborah Gutierrez; and his sister-in-law Barbara Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
