He was predeceased by: his parent Elberta Mae Smith Liggett; his grandparents, Robert J. and Ella Smith; his sister Betty Liggett Betters Corbin; and his niece Roxanne Betters Albanese.
He is survived by: his wife Carole F. Rotuna Ondrusek Smith; his children, Tina M. Ondrusek Gerencser of Clearwater, FL, Deborah A. Ondrusek (Joseph Pfaff), Anthony G. Ondrusek of Baltimore, MD and James R. (Nan Smith); his grandchildren, Samantha, Margaret (Osvaldo), Cate, Adaline, Aaron, Karsten (Angela) and Connor; his great grandchildren, Kurtus and Rio; his brother Ray; his sister-in-law Patty Liggett of New Brighton; his niece Jennifer Laracuente; and his nephews, Chuck Betters and Ray Liggett. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William Murphy Funeral Home Inc. (349 Adams St, Rochester, PA 15074). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Cecilia R. C. Church (632 Virginia Ave, Rochester, PA 15074). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Family wishes in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
