He was predeceased by: his parents, Isidor T. Cherry and Mercedes D. Cherry; his sisters, Eleanor Gaitens and Mercedes Scuglia; and his close friend Ronald Gratz.

He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas (Mary Sue) of St. Augustine, FL, Donald, Richard, Margaret Starosielec of Orchard Park, NY and Eileen O'Brien (Michael) of Clearwater, FL.. He is also survived by 11 nephews and nieces and 20 grand-nephews and nieces.
