He was predeceased by: his son Jimmy R. Kiefer; his brothers, Ronald Kiefer and Rich Kiefer; and his parents, Emil Kiefer and Susan Kiefer (Snyder).
He is survived by: his daughter Sheila A. Kiefer; his grandson Garrett Underwood; and his siblings, Sandy Kiefer Perdue, Ted Kiefer, Andy Kiefer, Roxanne Kiefer, Alan Kiefer (late Cheryl), Loretta Nelson (Junior), Lydia White (late Bill), RoseMary Kihn (Keith), Scott Rozell (Cindy), Kathy Ann Kiefer and Gary Rivera. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
