He was predeceased by: his former wife Veda Townsend (Crytzer); his son Terry Townsend; and his siblings, Marie, Adelaide, Wilberta, Dorles, Alva, Wesley, Lawrence and Dale.
He is survived by: his wife Rose E. Townsend (Brunner) of Cowansville; his children, Allen Townsend (Roxann) of Leechburg, Dale Townsend (Joni) of Gatesville and Sherry (Craig); his cousins, Lori Parsell (Ernest) of Ford City, Nancy Doverspike (Jason) of Cowansville and Sharon Lerch (Dennis) of Cowansville; and his sister Dorothy Crytzer (Dean) of Ford City. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
