It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Stella Thiry of Cowansville, Pennsylvania, born in Ford City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 6, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Smith Emerson and Leona Crownover (Riggle); her husband James A. Thiry; and her sisters, Ila Marie Bortmus, Lorraine "Katie" Moore, Eleanor Spell, Florence "Brocky" Deal, Gayle McCarthy, Lucy Retzer and Patty Zimmerman.
She is survived by: her children, James Thiry (Ann) of Maine, Sandra Bowser (Steve) of Cowansville, Judy Wansolich (Joe) of Freeport, Dianna Herrit (Dennis) of Butler, John Thiry (Jane) of Delmont, David Thiry (Michele) of Chicora and Pamela Flanigan (Richard) of Kittanning; her brother Smith "Ferd" Crownover of Kittanning; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Smith of Hermitage and Doris. She is also survived by 19 grand children.
27 great–grandchildren; 2 great–great grandchildren.
