He was predeceased by: his wife Clare; his parents, Frank and Mary (Pristash); his daughter Laurie; and his son-in-law John.
He is survived by: his children, Tessa Pehanick (Albert), Eve, Bill and Jennifer Jakubowski; and his grandchildren, Christa Allman (Thomas), Ryan Pehanick (Amanda), Colin Pehanick, Logan Pehanick and Ian Jakubowski. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Joe's name are suggested for a local youth basketball organization or St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Church St., Moscow, PA 18444.
