With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Genevieve Tierney of Covington, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 24, 2021 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her husband Edward P. Tierney; her parents, Nicholas Wallick and Julia Wallick (Homo); her son Edward P. Tierney; and her siblings, Martin, John, Jake, Joseph, Nicholas, Paul, Bohdon, Bud, George, William, Anne Matcheson and Olga Leschik.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Aaron Tierney (Elizabeth) of Covington Twp and Alice Kennedy (David) of Covington Twp; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Benjamin, Julia, Jonathan, Jillian, Paul, June, Luke and Johanna; and her daughter-in-law Kate Tierney of Covington Twp. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
