She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur S. Whitney and Esther L. Whitney (Schoonover); her husband Robert B. McConnell; her sons, Rex Arthur McConnell and Dean Forest McConnell; and her siblings, Erwin, DeForest Whitney, Norma Varney, Florence Beach and Alice Work.
She is survived by: her children, Robert McConnell (Toni Marzola) of Ithaca, Elaine Karichner (Charlie) of Mill Hall, Patricia Kaple of Olean, Jeffrey A. McConnell of Coudersport, Susan Watson (Tim) of Coudersport, Karen "Midge" Ingalls of Mechanicsburg and Melody Smith (Kurt) of McElhattan; and her sisters, Leah Kio (Phil) of Roulette and Beverly Anderson of Prairie. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
