She was predeceased by: her parents, Laurent D. Johnston and Marie G. Johnston (Kohler); her spouse Thomas R. Shear II; and her son Thomas R. Shear III. She is survived by: her children, Laurie Shear (Randi Lawrence) of Coudersport and William Shear (Noelle) of Farmville, VA; her daughter-in-law Mary Sue Henszey (Ben) of Beaver Cove, ME; and her grandchildren, Thomas R. Shear IV (Megan), Kate Hoover (Jeff Nunemaker), Justin Shear, Katie Meeker (Andy) and Emma Wright. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, a niece and three nephews.
