With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Catherine Burke (Coudersport, Pennsylvania), born in Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on March 19, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis William Soethe and Velma Grace Hoban (Mallow); her husband James Patrick Burke; her stepfather William Hoban; and her grandson Ryan Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Burke (Dila), Kathy Thom (Michael), Michael Burke (Dawn) and Missy McCloskey (Brian); her close friend Gerald Vasas; her grandchildren, Heather Bearinger (Jason), Kelli Queen (Todd), Dennis Burke, Jr. (Kelly), Cassie Smith, David Thom (Jaime), Jennifer Thom, Aaron Thom, Emily Tettenburn (Derrick), Devin Burke (Tiffany), Brandon McCloskey, Blake McCloskey and Taylor McCloskey; and her siblings, Jean Arsenault (Jerry), Margaret Beckward (Eugene), Thomas Hoban (Paulette), Carol Stratton (Jim) and Ellen Shelton (Craig). She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
