He is survived by: his wife Tonya Lynn Hurd; his children, Susan Kane of Huntingdon Pa, Lisa Lord of Birmingham, Laurie Doiron of Amherst, N. H., Tara Solar of Palmetto, Richard Schmerbeck of Coudersport Pa, Ryan Butler of Coudersport Pa and Dustin Butler of Coudersport Pa; and his siblings, Cheryl Vold of Minnesota, Gary Schmerbeck of Iowa, Steve Schmerbeck, Mike Schmerbeck of Texas, Mark Schmerbeck of Minnesota, Tim Schmerbeck of Minnesota and Jeff Schmerbeck of Minnesota. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren along with many wonderful cousins nieces and nephews.
