He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Short and Eloise Short (Harding); his wife Janet Short; and his siblings, Mark Short and Martha Short.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Short (Laurie) of Red Lion, PA and Sallie Culberth (Tim) of Hot Springs, AR; and his brother Colonel Jim Short (Rose). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 6 great- grandchildren.
