She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Snyder and Hannah Snyder (Haskins); and her siblings, Don, Milton, Gary, Allen Snyder, Leone Chase, Anna Lee Troy and Norma Snow.
She is survived by: her former husband Lewis L. Glassmire; her husband Lewie; her children, Lewis Glassmire, Jr. (Vicki) of Glenwood, MD, Samuel Glassmire (Patty) of Coudersport and Mary Freeman (Mark) of Coudersport; her brother Joseph Snyder (Patricia) of Ridgeway; her grandchildren, Katie Vines (Rich), Kari Mackey (Mac), Kristopher Glassmire, Kirk Glassmire, Shelby Glassmire, Shane Glassmire (Haley), Taylor Freeman (Danielle), Kyle Freeman (Jillian) and Mitchell Freeman (Nicole Bowmaster); her stepgrandson Stephen Russell; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Charlie, Beatrice Vines and Timothy "Woody" Mackey; and her close friends, Patty Giannotti and Deb Sattazahn. She is also survived by sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions in Edie's name be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3 Borie St. Coudersport, PA 16915, Potter County Historical Society, 308 N. Main St. Coudersport, PA 16915, Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Association 122 E. Second St., Coudersport, PA 16915 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
