It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Wetzel of Coudersport, Pennsylvania, born in Coal Center, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Christy Robert and Melda Wetzel (Varney); his wife Merlyn Spring; his siblings, Mary Ellen Olson, Evelyn Jean, Everett G. and David L. Wetzel; his daughter Linda; and his son-in-law Paul Formanski.
He is survived by : his sons, John Wetzel (Kimber) of Port Matilda, Michael Wetzel (Janice) of Ithaca, NY, Wayne Wetzel of Coudersport and Scott Wetzel (Kathy) of Houston, TX; his siblings, Bob Wetzel of Lake Placid, FL and Emily Jordan of Olean, NY; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Nicoscia of Akron, NY and Jerry Spring of Allegany, NY. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
