He was predeceased by: his parent Charles R.; his wife Barbara M. Sides; his son Charles P. Sides; and his brothers, Clyde Sides and John A. Sides.
He is survived by: his parent Florella Sides (Miles); his son James L. Sides of Elizabethtown; his daughter-in-law Judith McNally Sides of Elizabethtown; his children, Roy M. Sides of Manheim and Velda M. Hafner of Lancaster; his son-in-law Jay A. Hafner of Lancaster; his brother Paul Sides of Indiana; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Ruhl Sides Bowersox. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
