He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Spitman and Stella Spitman (Dubisz); his wife Patricia A. Spitman (Hill); and his siblings, Helen Kreitzbender, Rose Spitman, Dorothy Shumsky, Mary Halfast, John, Bruno, Leo and Frank Spitman.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Green (James) of Erie, Brenda G. Walsh (William) of Corry, Laurie S. Casler (Dennis) of Largo, FL and Kevin J. Spitman (Penny Zimmerman) of Erie; his grandchildren, Josh Green (Amanda), Heather Schroter (John), Travis Walsh (Kathy), Adrienne Cromwell (Darrin), Kevin Spitman, Chris Duty and Stephanie Capp (Scott); and his brother George Spitman of Corry. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
