He was predeceased by: his parents, John Malone and Betty Averill Malone; and his sister Bette Jo Malone. He is survived by: his niece Kelli Malone of Erie; his nephew John Malone (Laura) of Ohio; his great-nieces, Shea Malone and Dayana Malone; and his great-nephew Jack Malone.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to St. Jude Research, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN, 38105.
