She was predeceased by: her parent Charles Obert; her former husbands, Charles Kolaja and Jack Smith; her daughter Joan F. Kolaja; and her brothers, Charles Obert and Milo Obert.
She is survived by: her parent Bessie Satterlee Obert; her children, Pamela Rasey (Troy) of Spartansburg, Mark Kolaja (Diane) of Spartansburg and Kurt Kolaja (Elise) of Chestertown; and her sister Janet Rowan (Henry) of Spartansburg. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
