She was predeceased by: her parents, James Rafferty and Marian Rafferty (Thom); her husband Dale K. Mitchell; and her daughter Merry K. Mitchell. She is survived by: her daughter Shelly Fralick (Ron) of Monroe, NC; her grandchildren, Kimberly Amy (Kurtis) of Palmyra, PA and Mitchell Fralick (Ashley) of Weddington, NC; her great grandchildren, Addison Amy, Hudson Amy and Pierce Fralick; and her friend Denise Clark. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as her dear family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Kathleen's memory to Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), a children's literacy nonprofit focused on ensuring that every child has access to books they need to experience the joy of reading.
