She was predeceased by: her parents, Thayer McCray and Velma McCray (McCray); her former husband Raymond H. Root; her husband Robert Hand; and her brothers, Richard, Philip and Joseph McCray.
She is survived by: her daughters, Constance Flowers (Thomas) of Jamestown, N. Y. and Christine Cobb (Jerry) of Corry; her stepdaughter Debby Pierson (Mike) of Corry; her son Dick Root (Charmaine) of Spartansburg; and her brother Willard McCray (Alice) of Corry. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
