He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Groel and Helen Henry Groel; his children, Keri Jahn and Gary Groel, Jr.; and his siblings, Dorothy Groel, Virginia Morton, James, William and Frank Groel, Jr..
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Lori Jackson of Wellsville, NY; and his siblings, Anna Piotrowski of Corry, PA, Mary Morton of Corry, PA and Robert Groel of Corry, PA.. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren: many nieces and nephews.
