He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Morton and Flossie Shreve Morton; his brothers, Edward, Carl, Clyde and Bruce Morton; and his half-brother Mead Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Mary V. Smith Morton; his son Randy Morton (Kris) of Ephrata; his sisters, Joyce Messinger of Corry and Cheryl Maynard (Edward) of Mechanicsville; his grandchildren, Tabitha Morton, Kasey Mares (John) and Chad Morton; and his stepgrandson Matthew Schrider. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
