He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis J. Higby and Gertrude M. Willis Higby; and his brothers, William and Larry Higby. He is survived by: his children, Kristina Kurtz (Christopher) of Buffalo, NY., Kelly Balas of Youngsville, Kevin Apthorp (Michelle) of Sugar Grove, Dennis Higby Jr. of Corry and Jonathan Higby of Erie; and his siblings, Barbara Jewel of Alabama, Darlene Stephens of Conowingo, MD., Melvin Vanderhoof of Corry, Ronald Higby (Eula) of Corry and Ricky Higby Sr. (Alyce) of Erie. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
