He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Richards and Nancy Richards (Clark); his siblings, Jewell Childers, Mary Lee, Colleen Pilkington, Paul, Frank, Robert, Carl, Fred and Ned Richards; and his son-in-law James Gillihan.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mae Richards (Swart); his children, Daniel Keith Richards of Chandler, AZ, Deborah Gillihan of Corry, PA, Wanda Nelson (Mark) of Avondale, AZ, Brenda Gastecki (Timothy) of Corry, PA and Carol Graham (John) of Fletcher, NC; and his grandchildren, Tifani Whiteley (Gary), Shane Gastecki (Chad Toporski), Austin Gillihan (Kylee), Rikki Leek (Dan), Alexandra Butman (Parker) and Jared Graham. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
