He was predeceased by: his parents, Olimpio Valentino and Mary Anne DiVito (Belcastro); his brother Donald (Janet); his brother-in-law Michael Nichay; and his nephew Mark DiVito (Jennifer).
He is survived by: his wife Diana (Nichay); his children, Mary Anne Meade (Daniel) of Venetia, PA and Joseph V. DiVito, Jr. (Karen) of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren, Joseph III of Cary, NC, Marco of Washington, DC, Francesca DiVito, Maura and Connor Meade; his niece Valerie Carnohan (Bill); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bryce, Myles, Maryn Carnohan, Kaitlyn Bretch (Eddie), Kayden, Karly DiVito and Alicia Stanley (RJ).
