He is survived by: his children, Anthony Duran and Cassandra Dugan (Matt); his grandchildren, Adison Zahner, Bexlee and Reya Dugan; his parents, Joseph Duran and Jean Duran; his sister Jill Vietmeier (Gordon); his nieces, Abigail and Sarah Vietmeier; and his nephew Logan.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be directed to research at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
