He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary (Law) and Charles R. Short Sr.; and his nephew Anthony Short, Sr.. He is survived by: his former wives, Esther Fay Short (Blosfield) and Lisa Short; his siblings, Charles Short Jr. (Barbara), Geneva Short, Donna Short, Karen (Short), Ronald and Perkins; his children, Rachell (Short), Gerald "Jerry" Vukovcan Jr., Frederick A. Short Jr., Darren, Rachael Short, Tazaya Short, Efenni Robinson and Iaquan Robinson; his grandchildren, Ryan Clarkson, Adasia Vukovcan and Gerald "J. T."; and his great grandchildren, Kian Clarkson, Gio and Isaak Mercandante. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and faithful friends.
