He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominick Murgia and Anna Rose Murgia. He is survived by: his wife Rachel (Monto); his children, Denise Rumpf (Mark), Debbie King (Jeffrey) and Frank Murgia; his granddaughters, Courtney Rabi (Neil) and Kayleigh Fontana (Nathan); and his sister Donna Smith (Laird). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
