She was predeceased by: her husband John M. Matika; her parents, John Novak and Kathryn Novak (Holuko); and her sisters, Rose Zwiryk, Helen Novak, Catherine Terleski and Mary Mayorak.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory J. (LuAnn) and Karen M. Bartell (Matthew); her sisters, Sophie Patchinka and Anna Krawchuk; her grandsons, Jason Cucchiara and James Cucchiara; and her great grandchildren, Abigail, Madison and Chase.
