It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy G. Shemela of Cooperstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry W. Nicklas and Sara E. Steiner Nicklas; her husband John Shemela; her son Jay W. Shemela; and her brothers, Wayne and H. Wesley Nicklas.
She is survived by: her son Ronald J. Shemela (Robin) of Mars; her grandchildren, Amber Mabry (Randy), Abbey Swope (Ryan), Jenna Fatula, Heather Brazill of Uniontown, Clayton Shemela and Adrian Shemela (Renee); and her nieces, Alliene Lees (Jim) of Mars and Janice Schmitt (Roy) of Mars.
