She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Lychak and Mary Lychak (Kometic); and her sister Martha Baker. She is survived by: her husband Donald Bassler; her children, Jeffrey T. Erney of Whitehall, PA and Susan Erney-Gleason (Kevin) of Spring City, PA.; her brother Richard Lychak (Marie); her stepchildren, Donald Bassler Jr. (Janeen), Gary (Rachel) and Amy (Larry); and her children, Robert and Donna Marie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, step grandchildren, and a step great grandson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's name to the Parkinson's Foundation.
