He was predeceased by: his parents, John Earl Carsgo and Mildred May Carsgo (Reichart); his brother Robert John Carsgo; and his wife Ethel Carsgo (Karchner). He is survived by: his daughters, Elaine Scheidler (Marlin) and Lori Carsgo (Perry Leong); his grandsons, David Kokinda (Marissa) and Zachary R. Leong; and his great grandchildren, Arianna R. Dreiling and Zofia M. Kokinda.
