He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Marie; his siblings, John Jr., Bill, Helen and Margaret; and his grandson Eric Gey.

He is survived by: his wife Norma; his children, Cathy Taylor (Terry), Brian, Joseph Jr. (Terri), Sharon, Ted Gey, Nicole (Tink), Fisher (Rachel), Mae Sullivan, Devyn and Morgan; his great grandchildren, Jayden Santangelo and Charlotte Fisher; and his sister Patricia Manley.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Titus RC Church (3006 Keenwood Rd, Eagleville, PA 19403). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Titus Church (3006 Keenwood Rd, Eagleville, PA 19403).
