She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Whitley and Pauline Whitley (Galyan); and her grandson Roy Layden, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Roy "Sam" Layden (Natalie "Gail") of Swedesburg and Kimberly Loesch (Robert) of Schwenksville; her siblings, Alonzo Whitley, Jr. (Ruth) of Norristown and Elizabeth Diane Leaman (Roy) of Narvon, PA; her grandchildren, Robbie, Jerry, Rachel, Lillian and Emily; and her great grandchild Rory.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Paoli Hospital Foundation.
