She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Gast and Lownita Palmeter Gast. She is survived by: her husband Allen Mechling; her daughters, Sonja Carpenter (Bryce) of Prospect and Melissa Lauer (Ryan) of Butler; her grandchildren, Marella, Travis, Darren Carpenter, Victoria (Tori) and Kyra Lauer; and her sisters, Kris Lindsay of Ashland, OH and Gale Poling (Mark) of Lancaster, OH. She is also survived by four nephews and two nieces.
The family suggests memorial donations be made in her honor to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037, or to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Rd., Renfrew, PA 16053.
