She was predeceased by: her parents, William Porter and Ruth Porter (Sidow); her son Donald Basinger; her stepdaughter Jody Sumerauer; her grandson Justin Basinger; and her brothers, Donald Porter and Augie Porter.
She is survived by: her husband Alfred D. Brooks; her children, Mary Bertok (Kevin) and Thomas Basinger (Audrey); her stepson Lon Brooks; her grandchildren, Donald Basinger, David Basinger, Thomas Basinger, Jr., Jeanna Leichliter, Jennifer Wiltrout, Tonya Basinger and Beth Basinger; her stepgrandchildren, Mason Cross, Caitlin DeLucia and Emily Sumerauer; and her sister Margaret Tarr. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home, Inc. (418 Pittsburgh St, Connellsville, PA 15425). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Green Ridge Memorial Park (2901 Memorial Blvd, Connellsville, PA 15425).
