He is survived by: his wife Theresa Marr Kerns; his children, David Kerns, Linda of Connellsville, Dennis Kerns (Kimberly) of Connellsville and Deanne Schroyer (Scott) of Connellsville; his grandchildren, Katie Prolenski (Jared), Daniel Kerns, Jonathan Schroyer, Joshua Schroyer (Nicole) and Joseph Schroyer; his great grandchildren, Gabriella Prolenski and Alexandra Schroyer; his siblings, Ron McKlveen (Sheila) of Uniontown, Mark McKlveen (Amy) of Scottdale and Beth Ann Ambrosini (Pete) of Connellsville; his sister-in-law Judy McKlveen of Connellsville; and his pet Mason. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
