He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer James and Virginia Hartz Brooks; and his sister Jenny. He is survived by: his wife Irene Auer Brooks; his sons, James Brooks (Lisa) of Uniontown and John Brooks (Michele) of Mount Pleasant; and his siblings, John Brooks (Phyllis) of Little Summit, Ron Brooks and Judy Gallentine of South Connellsville.
