He was predeceased by: his wife Connie Conaway LaPorte; his parents, John "Luke" LaPorte and Anne Barboline Ferens (Frank); and his brother Ronald LaPorte. He is survived by: his children, Mark LaPorte (Gina), Robin LaPorte (Tim) and Donald E. LaPorte; his grandsons, Brent LaPorte and Chad Slater; and his sisters, Kathi Halbert (Ken) and Shirlee LaPorte.
