He was predeceased by : his parents, Merle Brakeman and Autumn Brakeman (Obert). He is survived by : his stepdaughter Cindy Samuels (Mike) of Conneautville; his former life partner Judy Jeannerett; his grandchildren, Tonia, Ben Haemer, Elizabeth, Josh Carpenter, Shawn Kiser, Cody, Holly Pringle, Jason Samuels and Shawn Samuels; and his sisters, Sherrel Haskins of Colorado and Letty Range of North East, PA. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
